Hailee Steinfeld’s show Dickinson renewed for third season before the premier of season two

Hailee Steinfeld recently wowed her fans, offering a glimpse into season 2 of Dickinson, the Apple TV+ comedy series.


The young Academy Award nominee as plenty of reasons to celebrate with some big news about the show. On Thursday, Apple TV+ announced that there were renewing the series for a third season. This announcement came after the release of the trailer for Season 2 which is scheduled to premiere on January 8.


In this series, Steinfeld plays the 19th-century American poet Emily Dickinson. It is a coming-of-age story with comedic undertones. The series explores the societal constructs of that time, as seen from the perspective of the rebellious young poet.


Hailee Steinfeld stars alongside Adrian Blake Enscoe, Ella Hunt, Anna Baryshnikov, Toby Huss, and Jane Krakowski. Moreover, the show features guest appearances from John Mulaney and rapper Wiz Khalifa.

The early renewal comes as no surprise. In fact, Apple TV made the announcement for season 2 in October, before the show’s premiere.


On Thursday, Dickinson posted the trailer for season 2 on her Instagram, expressing her thrill at the news. Finally, the trailer shows Emily sitting at a candle-lit table with her friends, taking part in a pagan ritual.
